My favorite memory from second grade is when we wrote our spelling words in shaving cream. First, Mrs. Miller put shaving cream on the tables. Next, Mrs. Miller told us to spread the shaving cream. Last, Mrs. Miller called out our spelling words, and we wrote them in the shaving cream. It was fun fun! The End

My favorite memory about second grade is TCAP week. Also, another thing is field trips. I also like second grade because we get to play on the computer. I also like it because we have parties. We also watch movies. I liked playing with the blocks during indoor recess.

My favorite memory from second grade is writing our spelling words in shaving cream. I also liked when we got to walk around and measure things. Plus I also liked when we went to the Redbirds game and when we had our first compliment party.

Thank You!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! We had a great time at the game last week! Thank you so much to the parents who helped drive and chaperone. Also, thank you to everyone for my basket of goodies. I will be enjoying it for days to come! Be on the lookout for guest bloggers over the next 3 weeks. I am going to let the class give it a try!
Nyla's mom came and told us about her job!
Thank you so much for my goodies last week! I enjoyed every last one of them.

Important Dates

Emmitt was our mystery reader on Friday!
This school year is flying past us! We have many important dates and deadlines coming up, so make sure to check the newsletter each week. Today, your child brought home a permission slip for our end of the year celebration. There are 2 forms that have to be returned by this Thursday. Unfortunately, this trip has a quick turn around because Pump It Up requires a deposit.
Our trip to see the Redbirds play is this Wednesday. Please make sure to send your child with their booster seat. All children in second grade must have a booster seat. In the past, we have been able to borrow a couple of seats from the office, but since the whole school is going on this trip please don't plan on that being an option. Also, if your child did not purchase a meal voucher, don't forget to send them with a sack lunch. Everything they bring should be something disposable, so they don't have to keep up with anything extra. The weather forecast for Wednesday is looking good. They are predicting a high of 79!
