Dear Parents,

I believe that communication is key to fostering a beautiful relationship between families and the school. Therefore, I use several different tools to help us stay connected. The blog is probably the most important tool I use. It provides a wealth of information about what goes on in our classroom. In order to make sure you never miss a post, enter your email address in the follow by email section on the left side of the home page. In addition to the blog, I also have a class photo site where you can view and add classroom photos. This site is great to share with family members who live out of town. You can purchase prints of any of the photos added to the site. This is a closed group and will only be for the families of the students in our class.

I am excited to announce that I am adding a new tool of communication this year. It is called Remind101. Remind101 was specifically designed as a way for teachers to communicate with parents. This site allows me to send reminders to my parents through text and/or email. In order to receive these reminders, you must first sign-up. To sign-up for text messages, you will send a text to (715) 802-2262 with the message @8db . For email notifications, you will send an email to 8db@remind101.com. Make sure to leave the subject and body blank. This service is free, and you will only receive important notifications from me. However, standard text messaging rates may apply depending on your cellphone plan.
